| Priceline | Hotels.com | Expedia | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who owns it | Booking Holdings | Expedia Group | Expedia Group (same family as Hotels.com) |
| Best first use | Discount path; Express Deals when you can live without the hotel name | Named hotels, cancellation windows, rewards balance | If you already live in the Expedia app; not a third universe |
| Opaque / prepaid mystery rates | Express Deals (and similar). Name Your Own Price hotel bidding is gone | Not the product identity; look at the rate rules per listing | Member / prepaid labels vary; read the listing |
| Park gateway towns | Fine if you already know the property; a weaker default for first-time Springdale or Tusayan | Our Park Stay default: named rooms near the park you meant | Overlaps Hotels.com more than it differs |
| Rewards | Priceline’s own guest programs; opaque stays usually skip chain points | Program names have changed (Rewards / One Key / regional). Check the live account — we do not print an earn rate | One Key / Expedia rewards; overlapping with Hotels.com in some eras |
| This site’s hop | /go/priceline/ (affiliate) | /go/hotels/ (affiliate) | Public homepage, not a /go/ hop unless disclosure changes |
Priceline is the default on Book the Stay because US travelers still come here for a cheaper hotel, and Priceline still sells that path — named listings plus Express Deals. Hotels.com is the default on Park Stay because a park week usually wants the building name and a way out of the reservation. Expedia is listed so we do not pretend it is an independent third chain.
None of these companies is the National Park Service. None of them is 4 Life Health Wealth LLC. Inventory, cancellation language, and rewards names change. Believe the checkout.
If you need a car for the same trip, do not treat this table as a car table. Use Park Car and AirportRentalCars (or Hertz/Enterprise direct). If you need the week itself, use Park Week.
